The Secret to Solving Relationship Issues: It’s Not That Hard!

As a society, we have gotten used to throwing in the towel the second our relationship gets tough.

You can have a happy, evolved, and healthy partnership. And Francesca and Stan Levine are here to teach you how.

Located in Melbourne, Australia, Francesca and Stan are the founders of the Relationship Rescue Institute. Having been married for over 55 years, they have been through plenty of highs and lows – but their commitment to one another and their relationship has been steadfast throughout.

They have helped hundreds of couples locally to establish beautiful, long-lasting, and appreciative relationships. Now, they are taking their message of love worldwide, offering counselling and coaching via Zoom.

Francesca and Stan facilitate the conversations you need to have and provide practical tools that will help implement connection. According to Francesca:

“You will walk away having developed an awesome relationship, or you will have broken up beautifully. Not every relationship is meant to work, but transformational healing will have taken place no matter what the outcome.”

As human beings, we are wired for connection – we are meant to feel a deep love and appreciation for each other. The real secret is that it’s not that hard

And Francesca and Stan have some key messages to share that will help you to get back on track.

Work on yourself first.

Throughout their years of working with couples, Francesca and Stan have noticed one common theme: their process cannot work if one person blames the other for all of their issues.

We are so prone to criticizing, instead of being curious and connecting with our partner. When things don’t work out, you might get caught in the cycle of playing the victim.

You get what you focus on – and you get more of it. So, your life will never change.

This is why you should never go looking for a soulmate who can solve all your problems. As Stan says:

“Love is an inside job. You need to know who you truly are. You can’t go looking for a soulmate – you need to sort yourself out first. How can you find the right person before you are the right person?”

Your issues are a blessing.

The most transformative part of Francesca and Stan’s method is that they encourage you to see your issues as positive.

Francesca is particularly skilled at reframing, and always finds a way to show pain as something valuable and positive.

“Your issues are a good thing. If you can feel it, you can heal it – and that is a true gift. If you try to run away, your problems will follow you from relationship to relationship.”

Conflict is welcome because it’s growth trying to happen. Positive thinking can change anything. The possibility of something different from what you’re used to, gives you hope for the future.

Remember the good stuff.

In any relationship, life can get in the way. You forget about the good stuff that was usually there at the beginning of your relationship.

Luckily, this is one of the easiest places to improve your connection. The best way of getting back the good stuff is to do it again!

What did you do at the beginning of your relationship when things were at their best?

Change your thoughts, change your feelings, change your behaviour. It’s that simple!

Here’s how Francesca and Stan did it:

“We started dating each other again six weeks after our first daughter was born. Why do kids need to get in the way? We travelled around the world for weeks at a time with our two young children, and it was never a problem. We made sure that we stayed a priority.”

Be Joyful and Appreciative

Finally, a simple step to make a real shift in your relationship is to be appreciative of your partner.

It sounds very easy, but be honest with yourself: when was the last time your partner felt you appreciated them?  Try telling them something you value about them every day and they will light up.

Positive actions create positive feelings, and one of the greatest connectors is humour. Laughing with your partner makes a huge difference.

As Francesca says:

“We’re meant to be happy, evolved, and loving human beings. Joy, fun, and appreciation are really important – it’s not that hard to find some!”

There’s a reason why Francesca and Stan Levin are called “The Relationship Masters” by some of their clients!

Life is really short. We owe it to ourselves to make every day the best it can be.

The impact of healing our relationships really can have a global influence. According to Francesca:

“If you’re happy in love, you’re happy in work. And this snowballs into every other relationship in your life – your children, extended family, and friends. This connection leads to a more harmonious world.”

Francesca and Stan work with individuals, couples and groups: they are the real deal – inspiring even over the internet. They also run courses, both live and online: coming up in the very near future are 2 exciting and life-affirming courses:

  • “Imago Singles Course” for individuals who want to get into the relationship of their dreams
  • “How to go from relationship nightmare to relationship dream – IT’S NOT THAT HARD!”
