Suspicious rainbow: Rospotrebnadzor will check pop-it for LGBT propaganda after a complaint from Chechnya

One of the local media worried about the influence of coloring toys on the psyche of children

The Rospotrebnadzor Administration for the Chechen Republic received an interesting request from the local media: check anti-stress pop-it toys for LGBT propaganda. The main feature that aroused suspicion among the Chechens was its rainbow color.

Pop-it (from English pop it – “burst it”) is a toy that reduces the level of stress and anxiety, by its principle of action resembles a pimpled film. Over the past few months, the toy has gained tremendous popularity: it is advertised on all venues, videos are recorded, used in teaching children and, of course, sold in every stall.

On June 8, 2021, the Grozny-Inform news agency published an article in which it problematized the issue of the influence of pop-it coloring on the fragile mind of children. According to journalists, adults understand the principle of using the spectrum of colors as prints and do not associate them with sexual minorities . But children perceive this on a subconscious level.

  • In the future, he may begin to be loyal to the LGBT movement, but this should never be allowed. The LGBT movement contradicts both the religion of Islam and the Chechen mentality, and its propaganda in any form must be eliminated, the agency said.

The editorial board formed and sent a request to Rospotrebnadzor for the department to conduct an examination with an expert examination. The results will be announced later.

Note that in May , Rospotrebnadzor ordered to check the effect of pop-itts and other popular anti-stress toys on children. Now an examination is being carried out, but for now, the department urged to pay attention to the labeling and the smell of toys – everything should be in order and not cause unpleasant sensations.
