“KP Sport” talks about the biggest defeat of the European Championship-2020
Spain national football team Wednesday evening, June 23, in Seville played their last group stage matchEuro 2020. The rivals were national team of Slovakia… Before this game, the Slovaks were ahead of the 2010 world champions by 1 point. However, the team of Luis Enrique crushed the rivals, having achieved a victory with a score of 5: 0. The Slovaks scored two goals in this match on their own. Such an outcome of the fight allowed Spain to pass quietly to the 1/8 finals of the European Football Championship 2020.
The fight, which took place at the Seville stadium “La Cartuja”, had an incredible number of striking events. It all started with an unbeaten penalty – at the beginning of the fight the 11-meter Alvaro Morata did not convert. But then, in the 30th minute, an own goal was scored by the goalkeeper of the Slovaks Martin Dubravka. Before half-time, the Spanish defender Emeric Laporte scored the second goal, increasing the advantage of the Spaniards.
In the second half, the Slovaks finally collapsed – on the 56th minute the Spaniard Pablo Sarabia scored the third into the opponents’ goal. On the 67th forward Ferran Torres scores fourth with his heel. Well, in the 71st minute of the match, Slovakia gets the fifth goal into its own net. And the second time they did everything themselves – midfielder Juraj Kutska made an own goal in the commotion at the gate. This ball became the eighth time in the tournament when the players scored for themselves – an incredible record of the current European Championship.
Spain won a crushing victory with a score of 5: 0. And Slovakia leaves the tournament, finishing last in this group. In a parallel game in St. Petersburg, Sweden defeated Poland with a score of 3: 2. And the Swedes made it to the Euro 2020 playoffs from the first place. The Spanish national team will now play in the 1/8 finals against Croatia on June 28 in Copenhagen.
