The US continues to search for evidence of a coronavirus leak from a Wuhan laboratory. The WSJ newspaper found that three scientists from the Institute of Virology in Wuhan were seriously ill in November 2019. What the specialists were sick with is unknown, but the publication believes that this could still “add weight to the growing calls for a more complete investigation into whether the COVID-19 virus could have escaped from the laboratory.” The WHO, in a March report by an international group of experts, called a COVID-19 leak from a Wuhan lab “extremely unlikely.”
