The Netflix streaming platform is ready to create its own video games, the company’s management has begun looking for a director of this direction, writes The Information.
It is noted that in recent weeks Netflix has offered jobs to several heads of companies in the gaming industry. Previously, the service released a game with a third-party developer based on the series “Stranger Things”.
According to sources of the publication, Netflix can financially invest in games. One of the likely options could be an analogue of Apple Arcade – a set of games available by subscription. The company is still discussing the development strategy for this area. However, the service assured fans that there would be no ads in the games.
