Marcus Ericsson wins his victory in the Honda opening round of the Detroit doubleheader. He won the race taking advantage of the late mechanical problem of willpower Marcus Ericsson won the race. This is the first Victory of Marcus Ericsson and the third time in the Indy car competition and the third in the Chip Ganassi racing reason. It was also his fifth time in the Honda as well.

There were only 7 laps remaining to complete the match but a mechanical issue created an issue from taking restart. The match was of about 70 laps and in between the match contested was stopped twice in the match due to car crashes. The first stop was on 24 laps when Felix Rosenqvist hard into turn 6 retaining wall. Similarly, the flag was shown when 7 laps were remaining.
The second flag was shown when Romain Grojean’s car was crash. It was a minor mechanical issue that prevented power from taking the restart. After this Ericsson, the Rahal Letterman, Graham Rahal, and Santino Ferucci finished fourth through sixth respectively.
Will power was so angry with the decision of NTT Indy car series decision to show a red flag. Will was first in the competition and later in the second stop, he was stopped due to mechanical issues in which his engine was unable to restart. He would have come into position but the Indy car decided to send power crew member right after the ground was empty. Indycar needs to send the power crew right after the engine shout down but they wait until the remaining car to go after the power,
In today’s match, Ericsson’s won seen different matches from drier around the 7 countries. Similarly, these countries have also won the first seven races of 2021.
